This past week I've been cooking up a bunch new scents! We'll be adding them to the shop soon! We are in the process of making labels and testing the scents! So far everything is going great!

My First Craft Show!

I signed up for my first craft show today and would like to pass along the information!

The craft show will be held at Belmont Farms Distillery 13490 Cedar Run Rd. Culpeper, VA 22701 on April 25th 9am-3pm.

I will have a booth with all of my candles and maybe some soaps! This is a Car Show and Craft Festival so they'll be plentyof things for the whole family to do! Here are some things that will be going on:

Picking up Candle Supplies!

Well I had made plans to go to Quakertown PA on Monday March 2nd and pick up my HUGE candle order, however the weather had a different plan for me! We ended up getting 6 inches of snow here in Virginia and Quakertown ended up with about a foot of snow! Needless to say I was very unhappy with the weather!

Wayne and I do not have a 4x4 vehicle (which will have to change soon) so getting up and down the mountain in our cars wasn't going to happen! So with that being said we borrowed Wayne's brothers Dodge pickup (with 4x4) and we were able to get around. Thank God for family right!

So I pushed my 4 hour drive up to Quakertown back to Wednesday with every hope in getting to drive my car. On Tuesday I was coming up the mountain in the truck in 2 wheel drive and sliding all over the place. I knew then that their would be no way that I was getting my car down the mountain in the morning for my trip! So when I got home Wayne seemed to think that the snow would be gone by the morning and that we'll just have to wait and see.

I really wasn't excited about making a 9 1/2 round trip in a huge truck that I'm really not that used to, but I knew that I wouldn't have any problems. I was just being a brat and I really wanted to take my car that got better gas mileage and is much smaller and easier to zip in and out of traffic.

So Wednesday morning came and their was NO way my little XB was going to get down our street much less down the mountain. So Wayne put all of my stuff in the big truck and away I went to Quakertown PA.

As I was driving up I81 I was looking at the mountains covered with snow and thinking how lucky I was to be able to see this beautiful scenic area! My drive to PA was very nice and I actually enjoyed driving my brother in laws truck! Something mashing the gas pedal and it actually going! Not something you get in a 4 cylinder car. :) I'm thinking now that I really want a big truck! Funny seeing all 5'4" of me driving something that I have to climb into!

Anyway I made it to Quakertown with no problems and loaded the truck up with all of my new goodies and came back to the wonderful state of VA and spent the evening checking out all of my new scents and jars that I purchased!

After countless hours and research I've finally picked out my new scents and I'll also be experimenting with soaps and bubble bath!

So coming soon to my shop will be several new scents along with tarts, tealights, votives and 16oz square mason jars! I'll be working on soaps and bubble bath and I hope to have my bath and body line in soon!

Also I've added new sections to my shop take a peek and see what else I've been working on!

We Moved!

We finally got moved in to our new house. Our second night in the house we got 5 inches of snow! Being on the top of the very top of the mountain made it really hard get around without a 4X4 vehicle. Since both of our cars are not we borrowed my brother inlaws truck for a few days. Thank God for family!

Every morning we have several deer in our front yard. So far we love our new home and are very excited about our new home.

I've been tagged!

Well I've been tagged! Sorry it took so long to post, but my home life has been super crazy these last few weeks! We have been staying with family waiting for our new house to be ready. Our move in date is Feb. 1st and at this point I'm counting down the days!

Anyway here goes... I'm supposed to name 5 addictions, then tag 5 more people!

1. I'm addicted to making sure everything is in order with my business. It drives me nuts when I can't find something. Everything has a place and that's where it needs to be! I like order, but I'm not always good at it! :}

2. I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper. Before I got pregnant I hated it and I loved MTN Dew. Now mtn dew makes me sick and Dr. Pepper is the best thing ever! (pregnancy does weird stuff to you)

3. I'm addicted to my laptop! OMG, I would be so lost without it! I take it everywhere I go and I always have 5 more more tabs opened! I could care less about TV, but if I was without the net I would totally lose it!

4. I'm addicted to spending as much time as I can with my husband and daughter. I'm all about doing family activities. I don't care what we do or where we go as long as we do it together!

5. Last but not least, I'm addicted to sleep! I love to nap (but rarely get too) I miss the days when I could fall asleep in the sofa whenever I wanted too! Now that I have Emily the naps come few and far between. I'm so busy being a mom, wife and a candlemaker I sometimes forget to take the time out for myself to relax!
